Over the years, Pipeline has witnessed countless epic rides and heart-stopping wipeouts. In 1998, during a historic swell, Hawaiian surfer Ken Bradshaw made history by dropping into a wave estimated to be around 25 feet tall, setting a new benchmark for big-wave surfing at the time.

Despite its allure, Pipeline is not for the faint of heart. The waves break with incredible force over a shallow and unforgiving reef, making even the slightest mistake potentially life-threatening. The beach is often lined with spectators, eagerly watching as surfers battle the powerful waves, cheering on their daring feats and holding their breath during close calls.
